I was born and raised in Greenwood, Mississippi and
earned a Mass Communications degree from Jackson State University. My career started with the Clarion-Ledger newspaper
in 1999, and I left as an education reporter in 2003. Then I spent a little over a year at Jackson State University as a Creative
Writer in the university's public relations office. Over the last few years, I have worked in public relations in the government
sector. I am now working in marketing communications in the finance industry. My passion for fiction work began when I started writing
short stories at age nine. Over the years, I have written more than 400 news articles, press releases, media advisories
and feature stories for various publications. It's my hope that this novel will entertain, as well
as encourage people to learn or testify/relate to the awesome things God can do in one's life when we're ready
to receive His blessings, His love and His direction for our lives.
I also have a young son, affectionately called my "Sweet Face," who keeps me on my toes. Please
bookmark this site and come again!
Best, Roishina C. Henderson
